Who we are
Creativity for Change CIC was born out of a desire to make positive changes in people’s lives who are often ignored by society.
Our aim is to use creative thinking and practice to impact positively on the people we work with and support them to make positive step changes in their lives. This involves programmes that develop their confidence and self-esteem, raise their aspirations and give them transferable employability skills and self-employment skills.
We know from first-hand experience, the majority of people we work with have experienced multiple disadvantages in their lives. Many have suffered from mental and physical health issues, addictions, offending and anti-social behaviour, low self-esteem and confidence and therefore feel isolated and worthless. Our programmes aim to give our clients the tools and skills to deal with their issues positively and help them to feel valued members of society.
Not only do our programmes support people to move towards financial independence, they improve their health and well-being; community cohesion and social inclusion; community safety and helps to reduce antisocial behaviour, offending and re-offending.
Our programmes give our clients a reason to get out of bed and create a new routine and provides a platform to bring people together to share experiences, create new friendships and support networks and empower them to make positive decisions about their lives.
